ALABAMA MINERAL & LAPIDARY SOCIETY IN A
NUTSHELL
The Alabama Mineral and Lapidary Society is a non-profit organization for
people interested in geology, mineralogy, paleontology and lapidary arts.

Meeting on the second Friday of each month
(except June) at 6:30 PM at the Vestavia Hills Library. Meetings normally
last two hours.

Knowledgeable club members from whom to
learn.

Door prizes at every meeting.

Monthly club sponsored field trips to
collect minerals and/or fossils.

Join other clubs in the southeast for field
trips.

Learn to cut and polish rocks with club
owned rock saws and cabbing equipment.

Club sponsored Rock and Mineral Show the
first weekend in June at Tannehill State Park.

Relationship with Lapidary Schools.

Scholarship program for Lapidary Schools.

Newsletter Subscription only $8.

Members joining after June 1 pay 1/2 price
for the first year.
